Make sure that you have downloaded Aquatica
3D and not Aquatica Waterworlds. To see which product
you have on your PC, double-click on the Aquatica settings
box on your desktop. If the Aquatica settings box is
brown instead of blue, then you have Aquatica Waterworlds
installed. In this case, uninstall Aquatica Waterworlds
and then go to the Aquatica 3D download
page and download the installation file. Once the
file has downloaded, double-click on it to install it
, then try your name and code again.
The registration name and unlock code
must be typed in exactly as it appears in the welcome
email including UPPER and lower case letter, dashes,
spaces etc, exactly as they appear otherwise it will
not unlock the product. Please note that there are no
numbers in the code, only UPPER case letters and dashes.
Type both the registration name and ublock code in to
the "Register" button. This is located inside
the Aquatica 3D settings box (icon on your desktop).
If you still encounter problems with the unlock code
try copying and pasting both the registration name and
the unlock code rather than typing them in.
There have been some instances where customers
have entered two spaces between their first name and
their surname. Although this is not immediately apparent
when looking at the name and code. Aquatica will not
accept the code if you leave the extra space out when
entering the code into the “Register” section.
This is because our code generators counts a space as
a character. The code is generated using every character
of your name including spaces, so please check your
code for more than one space between your first and
second name. |

| Make sure that you are downloading the
correct fish and scenery for the correct version of Aquatica,
otherwise they will not install. Only download fish and

| When I try to run Aquatica 3D,
I get a message saying "could not find compatible
3D device" |
| |
This error could mean one of the following:
- There is no 3D graphics card installed
on your computer
- You do not have the latest version
of Microsoft DirectX installed
- You do not have the latest drivers
installed for your 3D graphics card
The latest version of DirectX can be download
free from the Microsoft web site at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspx?url=/windows/directx/downloads/default.htm
For the latest graphics card drivers,
go to the web site of the manufacturer of your graphics
card where you should be able to download the appropriate
graphic card driver. |

| Why is Aquatica 3D showing error messages
all of a sudden? |
| |
If Aquatica 3D is causing
errors all of a sudden, it is likely that either one
or more of the fish, scenery or sounds is corrupted.
If you can identify the last fish, scenery or sound
files that you installed then delete it from the relevant
folder inside the Aquatica 3D folder which should be
located in C:\Program files. If you do not remember
the last item or items that you installed, then you
will need to uninstall everything and start again.
To uninstall Aquatica
3D
- Delete a
folder called Aquatica 3D which should be located
in C:\Program files
- Delete
the original installation files aq3d.exe
or aq3d-mbr.exe
from your computer
- Download Aquatica
3D again from the Aquatica web site download
page
- Reinstall it
and unlock it with the same registration name and
unlock codes that you were originally supplied with.
To prevent errors from recurring
Install fish, scenery, or sounds one at
a time, always using the preview button in the settings
box to see if the error recurs, after a particular module
has been installed. You may be able to determine which
one of the fish, scenery or sound modules may be the
problem causing the error. If this error reappears,
it will mean that the last fish, scenery, or sound that
you installed before the error appeared is the one that
is corrupted. To delete that module, go into C:\Program
Files\Aquatica 3D folder, and delete whichever fish,
scenery, or sound that was causing the error from within
the relevant folder. Then go back to our web site, and
download, and reinstall that particular module again.
If the same module causes the same error, then do not
download it again. The same applies to scenes made using
Aquatica Scenery Maker.
